Well as you have no doubt gathered from the lack of recent posts that I took a bit of a break. I hadn’t planned to but when my wife and I headed off in our camper for a short holiday we just couldn’t seem to get the car to turn around.

_IBT2731In fact it took several thousand kilometres, lots of dust, heat and flies to finally get back home, but along the way there were ghost towns, old mines, sandy beaches, sunsets, wineries, abandoned homesteads, forests, bull dust and close encounters with stingrays, dolphins and sharks. Oh and did I mention the bloody flies?


But now it’s time to get back to the reality of work and timetables and deadlines. So welcome back everyone and let the blogging recommence 🙂

Take a ratty old 4WD, add a swag, a good dash of camera gear, season with a couple of bottles of nice port and allow to simmer for 6 days.  There you have it!  The recipe for the perfect road trip.

….and like all good road trips it has been meticulously planned with a starting point at Mt Magnet in the Northern Goldfields and a destination, Rockingham, just south of Perth by Sunday.  Now all I have to do is join the dots “Woohoo!!”   See you all in a week.
